Following the successful development and lease, Frankfurt-based DIC
group and their cooperation partner Triwo have sold the "meet at the
casino" property in Trier to the British investor group PCP (Prime
Commercial Properties), London. As regards the transaction, the client
had been supported and consulted by Kemper’s in Frankfurt as well as
the Frankfurt law firm Taylor Wessing.
DIC and Triwo had acquired the 19th-century, formerly French casino
complex with a total of over 5,000 sq. m. useful space at 'Kornmarkt'
in the city center of Trier in spring 2003 as the winners of a
German-wide architect and urban construction investor competition.
Under the heading "meet at the casino“, the building complex which is
classified as historical was redesigned and completed by extensive
refurbishment and restructuring measures as well as a newly-built
complex by the end of 2004. The two main lessees are Interbook and
Bitburger. The flagship store of the leading book marketing company in
the larger region of Trier occupies over 2,700 sq.m., Bitburger brewing
house have rented shortly below 900 sq.m. for their new inn concept.
The entire property is under long-term lease contracts.
